Study #1 - Adaptations of Leaf Size and Precipitation
Conclusion -
Leaf width increases with precipitation.
Study #2 - The Effect of Temperature on the Growth of Beans p. 20
Conclusion -
25 °C is optimal for bean growth. 30 °C is second best, but may be too warm if exposure is prolonged: the plant starts to stunt after 2 weeks.
Study #3 - Student Heights p. 21
Table 3a - Student Heights to the Nearest Whole cm
Use data from Measurement Lab.
Construct Table 3b and Graph 3; calculate mean.
Conclusion -
In most populations, the majority of individuals are clustered around the mean (average) height, few are short or tall, forming a bell-shaped curve.
Tables can help sort the data into groups, and be used to prepare graphs.
Graphs show visual distribution of independent and dependent variables, and can be used to see trends or compare groups.
